When it comes to sightseeing, it is mostly very beneficial to visit some modern engineering marvels along with some scenic natural beauty. For this purpose, Hoover Dam is your best choice. If you go to Vegas and miss this dam and Lake Mead, your trip would be considered incomplete. The excursion tours to this place are very popular and more than 3000 people visit this dam every year. It is a complete family excursion and you must come here with your friends and family.

To reach here, you simply have to follow the I-93 S, which will directly take you to the Hoover Dam. From here, you can take as much as an hour or more because of the heavy traffic. You can park your vehicles at the 5 storey parking space for a universal fee of $7. From here, you can either chose to explore the space on your own or chose to go for an organized tour. As such, you will have to pay $60 for a half day tour across the dam and the surrounding natural areas and $92 for a day long tour that also lets you experience a scenic boat ride in Lake Mead.

There is more to the dam that just natural or architectural wonders. You can also visit the Hoover Dam Visitor Center which provides a one of its kind visitor experience. There are some photo exhibits, bronze and other metal exhibits, video presentations, a theatre etc. You will usually be able to visit this place throughout the year. The timings also keep on changing but the usual closing time is 6 pm. The last tickets are sold at 5:15 pm.
