Also referred to as The Lookout, Lookout Studio is the popular stone building that is situated on the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. This is within the Arizona’s Grand Canyon National Park. It is one part of the historic district from the Grand Canyon Village, which is also a part of the national historic landmark of Mary Jane Colter Buildings.

Lookout Studio is currently operating as an observation station and gift shop for visitors, as it contains some telescopes found on the outdoor terrace. This Studio was built by the famous Santa Fe Railway during the year 1914, which was originally established as a photography studio in order to compete with the Kolb Studio. Lookout Studio uses the signature of rustic style with the application of rough native rocks so as to emulate indigenous constructions of the area and in order to fit in with its environment.

This famous studio of Arizona is great for shopping spree. It is located having a short travel on foot going to west, along the Rim from free shuttle stop of Bright Angel. Established on the Grand Canyon’s high edge on the middle of the village, Lookout Studio shows off the magnificent views of Grand Canyon from each window. Even though, the studio is quite a minute store, you will discover an extensive range of attractive merchandise to browse, photography, featuring art, items and rocks celebrating the Condors of California, which frequent the location seasonally.
