The Washington’s National Cathedral, also known as Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, is the sixth biggest cathedral in the planet.  This building is situated at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Woodley Road. The National Cathedral marks to the memory of all visitors due to its stunning structure combined with English Gothic style and superb architectural sculpture, gargoyles and wood carving. It also covered with almost two hundred tainted glass windows for elegant and sophisticated appearance.

This cathedral was constructed using traditional methods and was used by most Europeans over the centuries. For several years, this cathedral has been the main venue of numerous national memorial celebrations and services. Its services include organ recitals, yearly flower mart, choir performance, jazz, classical concerts, folks and many more.

If you want to visit this place, you can also take a personal-paced or guided National Cathedral tour. Guided tours often last for up to 30 minutes. The National Cathedral Tour and Tea Program highlight its history, cathedral’s art and architecture.

From April to October, you can also experience a gargoyle tour with an expert, and study the background of the different fascinating creatures. This tour includes a guided open-air activity and slideshow. This can help you understand more about the grotesques and gargoyles. Other special events like volunteer work days, wood walks and bird walks are also a part of All Hallow Guild’s Olmsted Woods Restoration and Stewardship Project.
