When many people think about the amazing and fun city of Las Vegas, they think about The Strip and all of the massive casinos. Another major reason why so many people visit Las Vegas each year is because of the abundant amount of shows that the fabulous city offers. There are several different live shows available each day in Las Vegas, and they are some of the best shows in the world for a reason.
Here is our roundup of the shows that you need to fit into your schedule next time you visit Las Vegas. You won't be disappointed with any of the picks below.
This show is at Caesars Palace. This show is with Grammy Award-winning Celine Dion herself (and 31 members of her amazing band and orchestra) and she sings many of her famous songs. She also sings famous songs by other artists as well. Even if you are not a Celine Dion fan, she is known to convert many visitors into lifelong fans of her.
This show is at Caesars Palace as well. I have had a few friends see Absinthe the show and they always rave about how great the show is. This is an adults only variety show with a mix of burlesque and comedy. It was once described by George Grosz as "Cirque du Soleil as channeled through "Rocky Horror Picture Show," which I think is the best way to describe it.
Blue Man Group
This show is at the Monte Carlo Hotel. The group was started in 1987 that features experimental music with three people who wear all blue. The music is fun and you will have a great time sitting in the audience.
O Cirque du Soleil
This show is at the Bellagio hotel, and is one of the most popular shows in Las Vegas and possibly the world. It often sells out and is what you expect when you think of a Cirque du Soleil show. There are 150 stagehands and 85 performers in this show, and you will be "wowed" the whole time. This is a theatrical performance with acrobats, synchronized swimmers and divers, and characters on stage.
The Beatles "Love"
This show is at the Mirage. This is another Cirque du Soleil show, and you will not be disappointed. The show plays all of the great Beatles songs to acrobatic dances and has a circus-based theme.
Vegas Nocturne at Rose.Rabbit.Lie
This show is at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's not just a show though - it's a restaurant, club, bar, and show all in one. It is a social club that is supposed to be a great nightlife experience all around. Unless you go, it's hard to explain it they say... There are three shows each night that last for around 70 minutes each.
Mystere is one of the first Cirque du Soleil shows (and one of the longest-running shows in Las Vegas altogether) and first premiered on December 25, 1993. In December of 2012, they had their 9,000th show, which is a great fete for any show. It has 72 performers who show whimsical acrobats, wonderful music and beautiful imagery.
