If you are looking for something truly exhilarating to do in Chicago then why not pay a visit to the incredible Museum of science and industry.  Spend between 2 hours and a half day at one of the most visited tourist attractions that houses more than 2000 exhibits.

Opening every day of the year except thanksgiving and Christmas from 9:30am to 4pm (selected dates open till 5:30pm) there is plenty of opportunity for you to come and see some incredible sights.

What is there to see?

They have various seasonal exhibits such as “Charlie Brown and the great exhibit”.  Explore the life and legacy of Charles Schultz in this fascinating event.

Their permanent exhibits include the likes of learning all about science storms and wonder at the magic behind why a tornado spins, why a wave breaks, why a flame burns and why lightning strikes.

      • You can also explore the only REAL U-505 German submarine within the United States.  A submarine that terrorized the Atlantic Ocean that almost altered the outcome of world war II.  Come along and step inside it and marvel at how life used to be.  Gaze at the life they lived.
      • You can also step inside a coal mine interactive experience – a permanent exhibit since 1933.  Step on a special hoist and enjoy a detailed ride down the shaft where all will be explained.
      • There is also a 3D omnimax theater where you can enjoy exhilarating rides and experiences.
      • There are so many other things you can do, listen to and enjoy when you come to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.  Manufacture things, work on a human patient simulator and work with amazing chemistry.

Greatest Train Set EverBased just out of Chicago, the museum opened in 1933 and is the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere.  It's located on 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, IL 60637.
