The USS Constitution Museum is located right next to “Old Ironside” and has tons of interactive galleries for adults and children of all ages. The Museum galleries walk you through a 200 year voyage where you and your family get to learn about the ship and how it got its name Old Ironside. You also get to learn about the history behind the ship and how it was undefeated since it was launched in 1797. There is a plethora of fun facts to learn about the ship and its history and you also get a demonstration on how sailors climbed the masts and what they used to eat while on the ship.

The Museum has several different exhibits and they are constantly changing. Although there are exhibits that are always the same and are the staples of the Museum they bring in fun and new exhibits throughout the year to keep things fresh and exciting. There are exhibits that depict the sailor’s life as it was in 1812 and exhibits that chronicle the ship’s history. There are also discovery centers where there are interactive games and exhibits that are great for all family members but especially the younger ones as they have hands on games to help them learn and have a great time, too. There is even an exhibit on the battles that the USS Constitution was involved in like its battle with the HMS Java and what happened to the crew members and what it was like when they came home.
