Boston Massachusetts was the hometown of the thirty fifth president of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. As is the case with most US presidents, a Library was erected in Boston to celebrate the life, legacy, and memory of John F. Kennedy and has now become one of the best places to visit in Boston.
The Library sits on ten gorgeous park acres that overlook the Atlantic Ocean Mr. Kennedy loved. The Museum features permanent exhibits, live exhibits, and special exhibits that educate the public on both the president’s policies and life. The exhibits include information not widely known about Kennedy’s presidency such as the use of television to deliver his message to the American public, and the personal struggles he faced as president. Museum artifacts are a popular attraction for visitors to enjoy and include hundreds of gifts the president was given during his three year term. These gifts reflect the love and support Kennedy enjoyed all over the world by people both common and those in World Leadership positions giving a true sense of who he was.
The museum offers a guided tour that is narrated by John F. Kennedy’s own voice. The surreal experience of hearing Kennedy’s voice guide you through a museum that includes artifacts from the president’s own life, is truly wonderful. The tour lasts several minutes and takes your throughout the presidents life and political career. The space race was one of the most historic aspects of Kennedy’s presidency and was an exciting time in American history. If you have a family it will be a wonderful experience to educate them about the history of America’s greatest president who was cut short in life, but still accomplished much.
New exhibits are constantly being added to the museum opening up new ways for people to educate themselves and their families. If you decide to take a trip to Boston be sure and visit this presidential museum, it is possibly the most important museum your family may have the pleasure of visiting.
