Great Sand Dunes National Park

Recently, I was able to visit Great Sand Dunes National Park. This is a place that I've been wanting to visit for quite some time, so I was extremely happy that I was able to see such a beautiful place that is located right here in the United States. The Great Sand Dunes National Park has the tallest dunes in all of North America. There are grasslands, water, creeks, forests, and more here for you to see. It is truly beautiful. You can see tall dunes with snowy mountains in the background, which is a beautiful thing to see. What is there to do at Great Sand Dunes National Park? Guide To Camping

Guide To Camping - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote
I am relatively new to the camping world. However, I did recently take a 2 week long camping trip (there were some hotel stays thrown in there as well) where I learned a lot about camping. One thing that I learned? I learned that I love to camp! If you learn how to do things the correct way, then camping can be a lot of fun. Here are my tips to make a great trip out of camping: Quality camping equipment can go a long way. Yes, quality usually means that it will be more expensive, but if you know that you plan on going camping a lot then it can be well worth it. We knew that we wanted to start camping more and…

Arapaho National Forest, Colorado

Arapaho National Forest, Colorado - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote
Recently, I visited Arapaho National Forest located in the state of Colorado. We spent a few days there and decided to camp one night as well. It was an extremely beautiful area, and I really recommend that others visit this national forest as well. This was our first national forest visit for us, and we can't believe we waited this long to visit one. Arapaho National Forest was established in the year 1908. Arapaho National Forest is an area that is also combined with Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grassland. The combined area has approximately 1,500,000 acres, and Arapaho National Forest alone has over 700,000 acres. This area is the most popular national forest/grassland facility in the United States. It receives over 6,000,000 visitors…

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park - 5.0 out of 5 based on 2 votes
As I mentioned the other day, we are currently on a long road trip. One place that was on our list that we must visit was Rocky Mountain National Park. I have seen pictures of this national park before, and it is one of the top national parks in the United States for a reason. There is a lot of beauty to see here! There are two distinct and very different regions at this national park. The western side of Rocky Mountain National Park consists of many forests and it is more wet. The eastern side of the national park contains valleys and beautiful views. If you can only make it to one side, you will not be disappointed though, both sides are supposed to…

Hanging Lake in Colorado

Hanging Lake in Colorado - 5.0 out of 5 based on 2 votes
I'm currently on a last second road trip. My husband surprised me and decided that we need to be more spontaneous, so he made me pack my bags and we are driving to the West Coast of the United States from our town of St. Louis. You might not know this, but this will be around a 60 to 70 hour round trip on the road, which is a lot of driving! We plan on making a lot of stops along the way so that we can really enjoy how beautiful the United States is. One stop that I really want to make is to visit Hanging Lake Hiking Trail. When I was doing my research the other day of things that we must stop…

Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park - 5.0 out of 5 based on 4 votes
Mesa Verde National Park is a national park located in the state of Colorado. It is one of the best archeological areas in the United States with its cliff dwellings, mesas, and canyons. There are many different and historic buildings for you to see (these are amazing!), trails for you to hike, a museum for you to enjoy and restaurants for you to dine in. Here's a little history of Mesa Verde National Park. Mesa Verde was a settlement chosen 1,400 years ago by the Puebloans. The Puebloans built their cities around the cliffs around the year of 1200. They left around 100 years later though and history is still unsure as to why they left. How is the weather at Mesa Verde National Park?…
