Being the largest aquarium in the world, Georgia Aquarium features more animals than any other aquarium as well as 10 million gallons of water! All of its exhibits are an exciting underwater story featuring things that are modeled after some of the greatest aquariums and zoos in the country. These exhibits are designed to educate and inspire you!

Georgia Aquarium is an exciting adventure for people of all ages. The aquarium has dedicated part of its gallery space to education, and educating visitors in what they call the Learning Loop. The Aquarium uses innovative technologies and interactive and interdisciplinary techniques to make sure students have fun and inspiring academic experience. One of the aquarium’s goals is to be a leader in aquatic animal conservation as well as research. Their research helps them to develop new and exciting exhibits for you to enjoy, and to apply new discoveries to the conservation of aquatic life. The Georgia Aquarium is contributing to the advancement of knowledge in animal science with the study of on-site animals in a controlled environment.

Georgia AquariumGeorgia Aquarium has several engaging exhibits to keep your day jammed packed with fun. There are six different galleries displayed at the aquarium including: Georgia Explorer, Tropical Diver, Ocean Voyager, Cold Water Quest, River Scout, and Dolphin Tales. They have nearly 120,000 fish and other sea creatures that represent more than 500 species. The aquarium offers some amazing views of whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, and beluga whales.

Have a blast at the AT&T Dolphin Tales show where you can go on a 3D adventure of the animated Deepo’s Undersea Wondershow! Have lunch at the Café’ Aquaria and then take a spin through the Beyond the Reef and Sand Dollars gift shops and pick up some souvenirs. There are so many things to do at the Georgia Aquarium that you are sure to have a fun filled day with plenty to do. The opportunities are endless at the Georgia Aquarium. There is so much to see!

Georgia Aquarium FishThe aquarium is open Sunday through Friday from 10-5, and Saturday from 9-6. They have partnered with local hotels for lodging and also offer a list of things to do while you are in the area. The aquarium is a great way to complete a family vacation. Learning about different aquatic animals and seeing them in their habitat is a fun way to learn about sea animals and see some amazing features. You will see everything from sharks, to fish, to dolphins and real live entertainment as well. This is an experience of a lifetime so you won’t want to miss out on what they have to offer.
