Visitors to Fernbank Museum of Natural History can use a great new phone app as they explore and have fun with family and friends.

Located near midtown the Fernbank Museum of Natural History offers permanent exhibits to teach and explore the history of the Dinosaurs that once ruled the earth, lean about the earth’s geological and environmental history, and appreciate the cultures of the world.

In addition to the permanent exhibits there are traveling exhibits display from time to time. There is also an IMAX theater that shows films in 3D. For those who like to learn by doing, there is an interactive science exhibit, which is particularly popular among younger people who have so much energy.

Before visiting Fernbank take a moment to download the phone app that provides you with many free, exciting and interesting features:

Lizards aliveThis app is available for Android phones and all iOS Apple supported phones. Think of it as a pocket guide for self-tours. It is supported by free Wi-Fi that is available throughout the museum.

Tickets are reasonably priced for one time visitors as well as for those who elect to purchase a membership. Daily tickets are:

        • Adults: $17.50
        • Students and Seniors 62+: $16.50
        • Kids (3-12): $15.50
        • Kids(2 and younger): Free ( with a ticket: in theater free in adult laps)
        • Members: Free

Combination tickets for the museum and one IMAX film are about $3 more for everyone, except kids 2 and younger and members. Museum plus 2 IMAX films are about $10 more for everyone.

Memberships are offered in various combinations. Examples of the costs are as follows:

        • Individuals: $80
        • 2 people or family: $120

Fernbank Museum of Natural HistoryMemberships include discounted tickets for the Museum and films, 10% discounts in the café and museum store, and reciprocal free admission to over 300 other museums. The upfront cost may seem daunting, but overall it is quite a deal if you are a part of a family that enjoys these types of events and experiences.
